Bandung, 10 March 2026 – A warm atmosphere enveloped Tawiri Village, Teluk Ambon District, Maluku, when the weaver empowerment program was inaugurated on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. This inauguration was part of the CSR program of PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (PT SMI) which collaborates with Insan Bumi Mandiri (IBM) as an implementing partner to strengthen the capacity of weavers as well as open up regeneration space for the young generation in Ambon.
Weaving Ambon is the 9th empowerment group out of seven locations, after previously being present in Alor (2018), East Sumba (2020), Ende (2021), Belu (2022), Sikka (2023), and Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan (2024). This program has been running since June 2025 through various assistance and strengthening of weaving groups in Tawiri Village.
The inauguration of Tenunin Ambon was attended by the Ambon City Secretary representing the Mayor, CEO of Tenunin, IBM Program Manager, Chair of Dekranasda for Maluku Province and Ambon City, as well as a number of Department Heads and other regional stakeholders. The presence of these various parties is a sign of strong support for the preservation and development of weaving as a cultural identity and source of community livelihood.
“We are very grateful to PT SMI and Insan Bumi Mandiri for the initiative of this program. The presence of Weaving Ambon is very important to encourage the regeneration of young weavers, in fact now many young people, including men, have started weaving. The Ambon City Government is ready to support and synergize for the development of weaving in Ambon,” said Ambon City Secretary, Robert Sapulette, ST., MT in his speech.
This empowerment program provides a production center and weaving gallery for Ambon weavers. Various strengthening activities were also carried out, ranging from assistance with looms, cadre formation of young weavers, research and development of natural dye-based products, to financial and marketing literacy training.
“Hopefully this weaving center will grow into a growth space for the economy, for culture and for future generations. Thank you for the trust and collaboration that has been built from all parties,” said Anggara Sutisna as CEO of Tenunin.
For Ambonese weavers who have been involved in weaving for a long time, the inauguration of the Weaving program provides meaning and a meaningful moment. The support provided by various parties by establishing a weaving center has opened up new enthusiasm for weaving activists in Ambon to become even more enthusiastic about preserving Ambon weaving.
“I have started weaving in Ambon since 1990, and we are among the people who started the development of weaving in Ambon City. This center is the first to be present in Ambon. Hopefully with this amount of assistance and activities, our weaving can progress further,” Yohana Sambonu as a weaver.
Through this CSR program, PT SMI together with IBM are trying to ensure that weaving can develop as a cultural heritage as well as a quality economic resource. Weaving Ambon is expected to become a space for collaboration, learning and new hope for weavers and the younger generation who want to continue tradition with innovation.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
